Keyless entry Help
I just bought my 1999 F250 Superduty 7.3L 2 weeks ago and I was wondering if it had keyless entry. I did the check where you turn the key from off to on eight times and the doors lock and unlock on the 5th time. So i ordered a key fob and when I try to program it, it wont work. I have a new battery and still nothing. Has anyone else had this problem. Is there a way to see if the sensor in the truck for the key fob is working or not. I checked and fuse under the hood for it but its the same fuse as the power door locks so that all works fine. Any help is appreciated thank you.

Not to hijack, but I'm interested in this... can you give more info for the test? I have power locks, but what's this test about turning the key on and off 8 times? More details please... Remote would be nice to have, if I find out I have it as an option, I'd like to do that....

The test is sit in your driver seat and unlock your doors wih the power lock. Then have your key in the ignition in the off position. Turn the key to the ON position then back OFF up to eight times simultaneously. Your locks with lock and unlock by them self's, that's how you know you have keyless entry option. Here is a website that has the programing instructions to almost every car, hope this help. Also just do a search on the forum and there are ton of threads about how to do this.
