wiring diargram for throttle/pedal position sensor??? (only 3 wires)

Hopefully simple Q.

My truck is "surging" at a constant pedal position. It isn't the CPS. I think it might be the pedal position sensor.

There are 3 wires going into it
brown/white
yellow/white
gray/white

does anyone have a schematic on which wires are what? I'm just going to put a voltmeter on the signal wire and go for a drive to see if it jumps around...

Can you scan for codes to make sure it's your TPS? You don't really wanna mess with something if you 'think' is the problem. Could possibly be a few other things. Usually, with a TPS, you'd have a problem like having your pedal halfway down & your rig starts respond as opposed to pushing it down less than 1/4 of the way & it responds.
