I just went through that adventure myself except mine wouldn't turn on. It was toast, Im thinking for the same reason you have. What my pump controls that I have found is my automatic locking hubs and the front vents on my dash. Im thinking you might have a leak. If you notice there is a reservoir that the pump is attached to right in front of it. If I had to guess Id say you have a leak in the Pulse vacuum valve for your front hubs.

Thanks for the info, on your pump does it have a open port?
Mine does and if i put my finger over it it will shut off for a couple seconds then start running again.

Yeah it does. Its a little white one with a tube coming out the neck. I went ahead and replaced the Pulse hub vacuum solenoid as well. Just to make sure I don't burn another pump.

Its right beside the pump more towards the headlight, its bolted to the fender. Im new to the forum but have been reading it for about 3 to 4 months. I took pics of them but cant figure out how to upload them to show you. How did you get the big picture of your truck on here?

it means you have a leak somewhere. Mine did the same, then I found a line disconnected on the heater control valve (or something..)
