Question 4-Lo In Nuetral?

I thought for a while, my 4-lo didn't work. I found today, it only engages in nuetral. Is it supposed to?

Never have tried it in Park. All the vehicles I have driven you had to be in Neutral to go in and out of 4Low

Mine won't do it in park. I tried for giggles today to see if it would work. When it's in park, 4-hi takes about a sec or so before the light comes on & 4-lo it doesn't do anything. In neutral, the 'Low Range' light comes on right away & you can hear/feel it engage.

And after you take it out of 4low, drive in reverse for about 10ft. This helps it disengage.

Only in "N". It won't work in "P".

Crap! I tried it in the driveway & after I turned the switch back to 4-hi, I just shut the truck off. Should I worry?

No dont worry. That just helps disengage it easier. If its still in 4low, you will be able to tell and you can just disengage it then
