Sensor on grill support?

Does anyone know what the sensor on the grill support is that would be just below the opening if you had done the Zoodad mod?

I believe

Its the outside air temp sensor. But I cant remember off the top of my head.

That sounds about right, since I don't have one. Must have been an option on an 2001 XLT.

Yours air temp sensor should be located in the actual air filter box. If you are looking into the box, it is on the side near the bottom backside closest to the firewall. I have a 2001 also and that is where mine is at.

yes the sensor on the front is air temp sensor, the one in the filter box is the intake air temp sensor.

Thanks, I imagine the one on to grill is for the OSA temp read out in an overhead console that my truck didn't come with.
