Testing IPR?

Is there any way to test the IPR in my truck? I have the AE bundle if that helps.

Thanks

No.
The AE will tell you what the PCM is commanding the IPR to, but actually testing an IPR is impossible as far as I know.

I just replaced one yesterday in a buddy's truck because he was experiencing a lack of power and mileage. He said it seems to have fixed it.

Does cleaning the ipr net the same results as a new ipr?

They say that it will, but because there is no real way to test it I just buy new from RiffRaff and clean the other to keep as a spare for trouble shooting later
