Fuel Filter???
What fuel filter brand is everyone running? I seem to have some problems getting some fuel filters to seal properly leading to a small leak. What brand filter is everyone using? Anyone else have this problem?

Donaldson, comes with a new o-ring. I just put a little oil on them and they sealed up fine.

I have been running the ones from auto-zone,comes with the cap and hasnt give me any reason to switch.Filters good and not bad on price. Also, make sure that you are replacing the o-ring,in the bottom of the bowl and not stacking it on the old one.I recall someone having done that and couldnt get theres to seal.

WIX all the time. I don't know what kind it was but when I bought my truck it had a plate on the bottom of the fuel post and I didn't question it till I realized it was the bottom of an old fuel filter.

Those are the ones Ive used. Ive replaced the big o-ring on the bottom as well as the o-ring on the cap and even tried double stacking the o-ring and still have a small leak about half the time. Im going to pickup another brand and give it a shot. Thanks. |

Motorcraft, Fram and Racor are all the SAME filter. Just a different box. I havent had a problem with the autozone ones either
