hit 21 psi with no chip
I dissconected the wastgate on my 01 today and i gained 5psi, 16 to 21 now. I was suprised because when i did it to my 99.5 i only saw a 2 psi improvement. I dont have a chip yet as jody is takeing the rest of the year off but i cant wate to get his tune. I going to have to order a boost fooler now. and my only mods are afe stage 2 pg 7, 4" trubo back stright pipe, and zoo dad, all my gauges. just though i would share.

Wow..Thats good for not having an chip...With my chip on the 100hp setting I can get up to 30lbs of boost..You got me wondering if I unplug what the outcome would be.

With the mods I have on my rig, I have hit 26 PSI with wastegate disconected, but I feel like the enigne did defuel when I did it.

When you guys disconnect the wastegate, you're just pulling off the rubber pressure connector with the hose (red I think?) right?
Another question, what's a safe boost limit for the stock thrust bearing turbo? Keep it under 30 PSI with occasionally running it up a little higher when racing, hot rodding, etc. etc.? I know it all depends on the tune, but if you guys can hit 30PSI with a 100HP setting from a tune, then you disconnect the wastegate... |

Just Simply pull off that redline running to the wastegate, I then stuck mine on the the bolt sticking past the nut on my intercooler pipe clamp, that way it can still pull vacum.
