need your help! Thud sound on start and stop

01 F350 cc/sb. When I touch the gas to take off, I have a thud sound. I also here the Same sound when the tires come to a complete stop. I thought it was my drive line (had it rebuilt) still there. Then today I was rocking the tire back and fourth (rolling front to back) and I could here the same sound coming from the back of my transfer case. Brearing? Any ideas?

Sounds like your splines need greased. Common occurrence.

Found some end play on the yoke coming out of the transfer case, this could be the vibration I have been chasing. My re-end is rebuilt new bearings, ring & pinon, and axle spines looked great. I had the vibration and thud before and after
