Long Bed Camper Top. What Will Work?

Planning on doing some travelling in the fall, so I'm trying to get a decent camper top to keep my baggage dry and stuff.

I've never dealt in camper tops, so I'm not real sure what will fit and what won't. Are they fairly universal between trucks of similar sizes? (I.E, Ford F150, F250, F350 long beds, or Ford/Dodge/Chevy long bed full size trucks.)

Thanks for the info ahead of time.

If they are for an 8ft bed it should be good, my H&H camper shell on my longbed is awesome!

Also, assuming it's fiberglass. What do they do for your fuel efficiency? Better or worse? And what is the cheapest way to change the color? I was thinking that dipping it might be the best choice.

The paint color is all about how you feel mismatching, as far as fit EVERY Superduty (same bed size anyway) will fit, Chevy and dodge are off in length and with of every year, obs is a bit different, but super duties are a size of thier own, just check your local CL, it's one of those things few people buy, and even more don't want

Look at Craig's list and used car lots. They usually have a pile of them in the back that hey pull off before reselling the truck. That's where I've picked up a few.

the superduty cab is taller than anything else. you need a canopy meant for a superduty if you want it to look decent. other ones will still fit but most won't look right.

Never thought about checking used car dealerships. I bet they'd get rid of one for pretty cheap.

I wouldn't say cheap coming from a used car dealership. Usually they run around $500 but compared to $2k new it's not bad.
