runs rough cold

if i do not let my 99 7.3 warm up for about 10 minutes it will only go about 1/2 mile before it starts running rough like a carb that is loading up or flooding. it will start to knok and loose power, if i push in the clutch and put the accelerator on the floor it will slowly clear itself up and will gain rpm. if i let it warm up for about 10 min it is fine.

Are you getting a lot of white smoke on initial crank (especially when opening throttle) and is it difficult to start?

Ok a couple of questions and then some advice. What is your mileage and do you have access to a good scan tool? If so pull the codes, perform a koeo, koer, and cylinder conribution test. This will prove very helpful. If not, you are really shooting in the dark but make sure you have good clean oil and fuel filter. I have seen bad injector o-rings allow leak down overnight that can cause this problem. That would be my guess, but without more info it is just a guess.
