Why No Smoke?!?!?!?

I gotta 2000 f250 7.3 with a 100 horse chip, 5 inch exhaust with muffler and Cat delete, K&N air filter, and Im not getting any black smoke what so all!!! NONE!!! Please what can i do to get this rig shootin dust??? is it because my muffler or whats going on? I'm new to the powerstroke and I feel in love instantly! what are some other things that will really make this 7.3 run? Thanks alot guys!! Lemme know

manual or auto?

Lug it either way and it'll smoke. If it doesn't then maybe the chip isn't installed right

I only have the 10k and my truck smokes...

auto and you can tell the chip helps out alot, but no smoke?

I got a 01' f250 with ts six postion, diy intake, 18k mod and it doesent really smoke much even on the high settings, although they dont seem to give it anymore power either.

If it's not smoking, that would tell you the chip is not working?

How would it not smoke if the chip is working properly, even Heloman said his tuning mods doesn't seem to give it any more power.

i went and played with my chip a little bit and i got it blowing a little bit of smoke but nothing like i see from these other trucks, i want to leave people not being able to see and i can get more smoke out of a ciggerette right now!

hey duece its cool that you wanna see some smoke it does look cool yeah but maintain will tell you that same thing black smoke= unburnt fuel which means you are throwing more fuel than your motor can burn and loosing power and fuel economy in the process

I have a 2000 7.3 Manual, TS 6 pos, with 35" and my truck smoked good
until,---- After reading the forums about diy intake it was a must for me,
pvc-and a wix filter, my truck sounds great now thru the intake but the amount smoke decrease alot. So I put the factory intake and filter back on
and puff I had smoke, So I put the diy intake on because as someone posted already your just blowing unburned fuel out. If you want your truck to smoke you can give ts a call and they can burn you a program for smoke.

I have a DP-Tuner, and it will smoke like a freight train when on the 140 aggressive (smoke) setting. On the 120 race setting, it doesn' t smoke that much.

If the tuners can burn a specific program just for smoke, does anyone know how they do this? From what I understand the bigger power settings on a tune results in more black smoke.. so if they are burning you a program just for smoke, how much power are you getting in that specific smoke tune?
