10k ?

alright i know this has been talked about few times before, but i just want to know, does this make a big differance? i plan to get a tunner "someday" and would you need it with a turner? is it worth doing untill i get a tuner? just trying to get a senses.

My understanding is that the OBS trucks gain more from the 10k than the SD's. Worst case scenario, you're out 2 bucks for a pack of resistors.

Ugh there are threads upon threads on this mod. Just read people.

The OBS's fall on their face with the 15* HPOP with anything too much lower than a 10k resistor. It's worth it depending on what resistor you use and if you like a lope idle.

You don't need it with a tuner/programmer/chip. It's worth a dollar, for a little giddy-up and a puff of smoke.

The OP drives an early bird, so he has the 15* pump unless its been swapped.
If you want to go high tech with the 10k mod, get a 4.7k ohm resistor and a 10k linear taper potentiometer- you can now fine tune the resistance to anywhere between 4.7k and 14.7k by turning a dial in the dash.

i know that this an old thread but today i turned my 10k over to the 2.2k and dropped it to the floor and it funneled the smoke mind you this is a obs with zf5. im gonna take it out tomarrow and give it a test run.
