What front and rear axles do I have?

build date is 3/00' I think I have the sterling 10.25 or 10.5 in the rear and the dana 50 in the front. Do you guys agree. The local dealership tried to tell me I had both 50's in the front and rear, I know that is not right.

LOL... You have a 10.5 in the back and should have a 50 in the front...

well I will start off with this, what kind of truck is it. I believe most of the 250 and 350's had dana 60's some very few tho had 50's. Excursions had dana 50's up front no matter what tho. I also think that all superduty trucks (99 and up) have the 10.5 but I could be wrong on that, either way heres a bump

Oh yeah forgot, it's a 250. I am having trouble with this, I can't find the stamps. Obviously I can't count on the dealerships opinion, which is a whole other problem.

Yeah the 10.5 is what I thought in the rear, the front could be either one and I don't know exactly how to look for that. I really don't want to have to pay for freight more than once with the gears. Anybody with similar truck do their gears?

the repair manual i have super duty 250 350 1999-2006, under the drive line chapter list specs and info is for dana 50 and 60 fronts and 10.50 and dana 80 rears. i think most are 60s and the 10.5 is the most common, but i could be wrong. i know on the older danas they are stamped what they are on the axle on the triangular gusset on the diff housing passenger side of the diff. i just went to the garage and looked at a dana 44 and its perrty small and a little worn. if you scrape the crap off with a screwdriver and get a good lite, maybe the new ones are the same? i not near my 99 250 to check though. maybe check the diff tag? don't know if that info is on there?
