Shock$
Hey Night Crew! What's up? Thanks for all the good reading and info.
Took the 02 F350 7.3L in to dealer for last warranty check up. (5 Year Warranty over 12/31/06) yea, I know, just under the wire. 57K on truck. Besides other things that needed taking care of, diesel tech said I needed new shocks front and back. $245 for front, $245 for rear. They don't feel bad to me, and no rough service driving. What do you think? and $500 for shocks??? Please let me know kinda soon, would appreciate it. Thanks. |

Sounds expensive to me. These are very easy to install, and you can get the shocks pretty much at any part house. If it still rides and drives fine, I would let it go until I felt they needed changing as well.

If it's still under warranty, have the dealer replace 'em. Free for you and your good for another 50-60K. If they aren't going to do it under warranty, I wouldn't worry about 'em until there is a noticed problem. And YES, $500 seams a little high for shocks. Expecially stock shocks. You could get aftermarket shocks for about that price.
