clunk on front left suspension, what is common?
getting a clunk on the front left suspension, especially at slow speeds rolling through a parking lot. If I hit a hole with the left front tire, it always clunks. If I hit a hole with the right front, sometimes it won't clunk. And it's more than just noise... I can feel it.
already replaced sway bar bushings and all endlinks. is it common for the leaf spring or shackle bushings to wear out? track bar bushings look and feel fine, but might just replace them anyways. It is an early 99, but that should make much difference. |

ball joints feel tight, I just did the wheel bearing and brakes on that side a few weeks back (the clunking has been around for a few months)

I'll try to retighten the sway bar bolts and end links again, but I don't think that is it. |

i tried to tighten a bunch of crap under there this morning and everything is tight.. guess i need to get back under it, jack it back up and start messing with stuff..or have a mechanic look at it.. it drives me nuts...

So i am a little relieved.. i went out and started meesing around under the truck, and found part if not the whole issue with my " clunk" sound or whatever it is.. it is my shock bushings, and mount bolts.. they are shot.. i have atleast 1/8 inch play in it, i can push up on the spare tire, and see a lot of movement.. guess im gonna get new stuff!!! ill probably shoot for new shocks too. these are over 4 years old, ill change them all out for good measure.. any suggestions on what brand?? Pro- Comp?? Bilstien???

Bilstien for the win
