ABS light on, cruise control not working.

I recently purchased a 99 F450 cab and chassis truck. The ABS light has been on since I bought the truck but there seems to be no problems with the brakes. I read that the speed sensor on the rear end could have something to do with it.

Not to be rude but questions like this are irritating...

If the light is on.... CHECK THE CODE.... Yes an ABS code on our trucks can cause shifting problems, cruise problems, loss of speedo etc.

We don't magically know what's wrong.. The light could be completely unrelated to your cruise not working... Only way to tell is with a scanner

Well I used a scanner from the snap on guy and nothing came up. I wouldn't be on here asking for help if I did not already do this. Thanks anyways.

You have a light, that means you have a code. What you apparently don't have is a scanner that can read ABS codes or you didn't tell it to.

Without knowing what that code is you are just guessing
