new bat and alt

ok first off I have replaced both bats and just put a new alt drove it a couple of day and let it sit of a couple went to start it and nothing had to jump it.
had the bats check there good and the alt too. im putting around 14.5 volts to bats. any ideas on what to check. when the truck is off and I put a meter on the bats there is no drain on them. could it be just a fluk that it happen or what. I have been getting up earlyer for work just to make sure the truck starts. but getting tired of gettin up at 4am any help would be great t

I would clean the terminals really good and tighten them good. Also make sure all alternator connections are clean and tight.
