Fuel Leak
I've read some of the other posts on here with the problem I'm having but I just wanted some clearification on what exactly my problem could be.
I noticed the other day that I smelt a strong fuel smell while my truck was running and when it was off, so I looked under the hood and I had a fuel leak. I'm guessing its coming from the drain line. Is this a common problem? I tried putting some hose clamps on each a side of the rubber piece and it seemed to slow it down. I know you can buy the kits from the dealership to replace the pieces of rubber, but my question is could it be something with the yellow handle that controls the drain? Is there an o-ring in there that can be changed and how much would that run and difficulty of changing it? If there's any kind of other way to rig this to fix it that woould be great too. I can take pics if need be. Any suggestions? |
