Easy, Cheap, Foil Delete

Yesterday, I went through the tech files looking for the mod help thread on foil deletes. I read on the foil delete thread that most people used an angle grinder with a wire brush to get the adhesive off. Not being able to get my hands on a grinder, I had to be resourceful & come up with my own way of getting the foil & adhesive off. Here's what I used:

Just in front of the knife is a double-edge razor blade. I used the knife to cut down the foil. It didn't take too long & I had the foil off & most of the media inside the foil off as well(had to use the knife because my utility knife was stolen 2 days ago!). I put the boost tube on top of my garbage can & lightly soaked the adhesive with the Goo Gone spray gel. I let it sit for about 5mins. I used the razor blade & a vise grip to scrape the adhesive off, & to my amazement, it worked much quicker & came off faster than I thought it would. The whole project took about 1 1/2hr.. Seems kinda long, but it wasn't & the razor didn't mark up the boost tube. Don't believe me? Check this out:

Once again, my camera doesn't do justice. This is the ghetto way of doing a foil delete for anyone who wants to, but can't get their hands on tools that would make it easier. I did it & it looks great!.....but now it's being sold because I don't need it anymore!

Looks clean man. I need to take mine off one day and clean it up. You don't even want to see what mine looked like when I put it back on.

I need to redo mine as well. Mine was clean but I must of had some oil on it cause the paint looks like hammered azz in a couple spots.

Why are you selling it?

Does this mod do anything for performance? Or is it just to make the turbo whistle louder? Which I think is right. Am i right?

You guys obviously didn't read the contract before you signed up..

Here is the important part pertaining to this conversation..

".....in the event you or anyone using your login name happens to get something or anything right (see section 239d for definition of "right") you are not entitled to didly squat...."

Hope this clears it up
