interior lights
My interior lights dont work when the front doors are open, with the back doors it works fine. Is this a hassel to fix? The previous owner said he replaced the switch onec and they worked the later it quit again.

Front door switches? I remeber there being a rash of bad ones right from the factory, but they usually kept the interior lights on. The switches are easy to replace. The only 2 things that make it a pain is your door panel has to come off, & after plugging in the new switch, twisting it back in to it's location. Hang on, I'll try to post a pic.

Here's what the doorswitch looks like:
![]() Here's where it plugs in: ![]() The soda can's in the background for scale. It's toward the back of the door to the bottom corner. Unplug the wiring harness & give it a ccw twist. The new one's easy to plug in, but kinda a pain to twist back in. Shouldn't be hard, probably take about 1/2hr. to do. Note on the bottom pic of the switch pin's location, there's a tongue where it locks into it's mounting hole |

Not a problem. It's something the dealership will ram you for. I think if you do it yourself, the switches are about $17-$20/ea.
