I have an XM Skyfi2 installed and I will try and post some pics this evening of my mount. I made a bracket that is basically bent at a 90 deg. angle and mounted it inside the pocket on the right hand drivers side dash. The vertical side is flush with the front of the pocket opening. I then mounted the XM radio mount to it and ran the wires thru a small hole at the back of the pocket. Pics definately explain better. My garage shows the pocket with a similar type bracket used to mount my TS 6 pos. switch. The XM mount is to the right of it now.

Got it all hooked up last night. Sounds like crap.Way too much static... There really is no un-used FM stations in Dallas. I am going to try the cassette adaptor .
I mounted it next to the middle vent. Used a piece of plexy glass and some hard core 2 sided foam tape. The suctioin cup will stick to the plexy. I will give it a couple days and see if it stays. Anyone using the cassette adaptor with good results. |

A Very good place to mount it.. not that much work if you know what your doing.. where your 3rd break light comes out.. aka cargo light.. there is a rubber grommit.. you can run your cable through there.. then run it on the drivers side edge up under the headliner.. then over to where most gauges are mounted.. mine arent there.. on the left side above the headlight switch..run it under there.. into your dash.. or wherever your recieving unit it.. then it just mounts on the roof.. thats where mine is and i havent ever lost reception!! Works great if there isnt anything better for you to do .. just a thought..

I like mine also. Mine is mounted inside dash with just the monitor portion mounted on velcro to the passenger side dash. Mine is an older Kenwood unit and the monitor only shows one info line at a time. See, it's old. I have a remote so I don't have to reach... yeah I'm lazy.
