Trailer Weight???
My truck unfortunately does not have a receiver hitch mounted to it. Just a ball on the bumper. Me and my buddy Tim (06 Ram 2500) want to rent a bob cat trailer and put his truck on it and tow it around with my truck to blow it out since my truck never really pulls anything just hauls stuff in the bed, and vice versa for his because it only has 35,000 miles on it and he wants to seal it up and help break it in. His truck weighs like 6,500 pounds, and the trailer weighs around 3,000 empty. I cannot find a max tongue and trailer weight anywhere on the bumber, the ball says 6,000LB though. Does anyone know how much weight I can support on this thing?

That's only a class 2 hitch on your bumper. It is worth about 350 lbs tongue weight, and 3500 trailer weight. That is totally inadequate for what you want to do.

Geeze... What do you think a reciever hookup would run me? Why does the ball say 6,000LB on it if it cannot support it?

The ball can be put on a receiver thats why its rated for so much.
I'm not sure how much one would cost every truck i bought came with one on it but i would guess 2 or 3 hundred for a good one. |

I don't get it...your sig says "stock used for towing anything" but you said in your post that you want to "blow it out" and you don't have a hitch. What do you haul and with what? Gooseneck, 5er? Are you looking to make it strain or what? You don't have to haul anything heavy to clear out soot. Just get on the skinny pedal every now and then. I must be missing something.
