Will a 97 powerstroke block (bare) work to be built to put in a 2001 powerstroke?

Works, just gotta swap turbo, fuel bowl/lines, plug mechanical fuel pump hole, swap HPOP and reservior, injectors, motor mounts, water pump pulley, wire harness and GPR, and accessory brackets. Exhaust manifolds may/may not be the same (mine were.) There are a few sensors that are different, just take them from the '01 block (oil pess coolant temp IIRC.) There is a extra sensor to the left of the water pump on the '97, for the "engine temp" light, don't need it, or replace it with a plug. I put a '97 engine in my '00, if you got any ?'s, just shoot me a PM, and I'll try to help ya out.

Alright, thanks alberta. I found a bare block for an excellent price and want to build my truck up but i have those freakin pmr's and cant have my truck lying with the motor out to put the forged rods in so i figure ill buy this block and build it up as i can until i have it where it can go in my truck.

Is having extra stuff when you're finished a bad thing? I always just figured you have just made it more efficient. It'll go faster if its lighter right?
