How to check fuel pressure

I know I've seen it before but can't find it. How do you check the fuel pressure on the SD 7.3? I know there is a spot on the fuel bowl you can hook up to, but I've looked and I guess I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Where is it at, what does it look like? I was planning on doing the rent a tool thing from the auto parts store, Don't I need an adapter to hook it up. What do I need? Also if I find I have low pressure and want to check the output from the pump will I be able to just hook up to the out side of the pump and see or will I need an adapter of some sort. Thanks for the help.
