whtling noise

yesterday while i was accelerating i started to hear a medium pitched howling or whistling noise. it just started doing it i have never heard it before. i can really only notice it when i am under moderate to heavy acceleration. i have an edge juice attitude programmer and it happened when it was on the highest setting but still does it in all the settings. it just gets louder when i turn the settings up. the boost and everything seem to be fine, the temp is ok and i am not leaking any fluid. does anybody have an idea of what it could be? i think it might be my wastegate of my fan clutch

Its your turbo...its normal.

Before you just pass it off as normal. How long have you had the Edge? Do you have an intake? It could be the turbo whistle. Have you dont anything recently any parts.

i have had the edge for about a year and i havent done anything to any parts lately. no it doesn't sound good

Was the truck cold and not up to temp? Could be the EBPV closing, could also be a boost leak, do you have gauges? If so what is the boost doing? Check for boost leaks.

the truck is at operating temp when it happens. the programmer has a screen with gauges on it and everything seems to be normal. the bost seems to be fine it might be a little higher but not much. what is the EBPV? how would you check for a boost leak?

exhaust back pressure vualve, it helps warm the truck up quicker when it is cold
