Ultra low sulfur mileage drop??

I have noticed a signifigant drop in my fuel mileage since the ultra low sulfur fuel came out. I used to get 20+ mpg on the highway and now im lucky if i can get 15. Anyone else experienced this? If so got any remedies to help out with this?? Thanks ahead of time guys!

Pretty much everyone noticed a mileage loss. I lost 2 mpg. Winter blend diesel is also hurting MPG's

x2 i use diesel kleen additive now

Oh yeah ive always dropped alittle with winter blend thats a givin but even in the summer dont seem to change. Have you had any increase with the diesel kleen ORANGE?

I gained about a half mpg back with diesel kleen. Stanadyne seems to work better IMO

Yeah, ULSD doesn't have the bang of the old LSD. Not that sulfur does anything good for your engine, but the process that removes the sulfur also removes some of the energy content at the same time. Also, another side effect is that while the sulfur is being removed the removal process also happens to remove some of the lubricity of the diesel. ULSD is supposed to have lubricant additives to make up for it, but I am not so sure. I would recommend a lubricant additive as often as possible. I need to do more of the same for myself too.

i dropped about 2 mpgs since winter but i think i got about 1 back...but i am using the winter formula so its has anti gel in it anyways
