Location of Transmission Temp Gauge - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

Location of Transmission Temp Gauge

Where is the test port on the transmission to install a transmission temp gauge. I looked today to install mine but didn't see anything that looked appropriate.

Its an Autometer gauge if that matters

drivers side, near the pan, you will see a square plug. its not in the pan, its above it, in the housing.

Will the interface plug that came with the trans Temp probe work with the port, or will I need some sort of other adapter.

should just screw in, both should be 1/8" NPT. Put a couple wraps of teflon tape on it to prevent leaks.
