intake question K&N VS. AFE

is there any major differences between the K&N cold air intake kit and the AFE cold air kit? in performance and long term?

2002 F250
5in turbo back mbrp exhaust
k&n cold air intake
dp f6 with 80 tow and 80 econo for now
4in pro comp lift
foil delete
boost annihilator
boost and EGT guage

if you are talking about K&N drop in then yes. The drop in doesn't seal properly in the air box and can dust a motor. Either way I would lean towards the AFE. It is a great filter and that is what I use on my truck.

I would recommend S&B. I use it and love it. BUT if I had to choose between AFE and K&N i would DEFINATELY pick AFE, without even a blink of an eye.

Old Truck: 00 F350 XLT DRW: basic first few mods. S&B, 4" straight pipe, gauges, CCV, EBPV and Wastegate line deletes, LED Sills, sweet custom headlights, smoked cab lights, Ventshades, Tint.
Traded in at 196k miles.

"Brand Newish" Truck: 02 Chevy S10 2.2L 5sp. Reg cab 4x2. Badass custom made shifter, foglights, 20% tint, AVS Vent-shades, Stock Intake mods, Electric Fan conversion .
~ 95k miles.

I would go with the AFE pro dry intakes there very good.the k&n intake will let the dust and sand blow by the filter and sand blast your turbo wheel then your motor.we have intakes for you here at Welcome to Outlaw Diesel :: Home
