Exclamation still confused

okay lately my truck has been acting up i will be driving and it will die and when i turn the key back on sometimes the wts light is on sometimes it wont be and if its not on then it wint start sometimes i wait it comes on and i can drive for a minute or a day before it dies again im going to change the cps and see if that helps and other input would be great thanks guys

when my cps went out thats exactly what it did but it also did the almost exact same thing when the idm went out and then it moved onto running really rough and shaking really bad so i would start with the cps

okay so after it died the wts light didnt come so i was like just watching the lights and the tach started moving and jumped to 500 rpm then went to 0 cycled the key a couple times and it started but it will only start if the wts light comes on first

Ford actually had a recall on the CPS. I don't remember which years, but, I had just changed mine about a month before.

Ford has a Re-call on Cam Position Sensors from 94-2003 7.3 DI engines, I've had 2-3 in the shop for them in the last few months. Mine has yet to fail but I really should get it done.
