Buying Used Truck
I've got a question for all of you. If you were to buy a used 97-03 PSD wut is the mileage cut-off? I guess it would depend on the previous life of the truck. I know the engine is good for TONS of miles (if taken care of) but i was just wondering what some of your cut-off points would be. Thanks for the info.

im not sure on the cut off, but of corse the maintenance of the truck a good way to check things out is run an oasis report, just get the vin # and ask the dealer to run it, they can give you a report on all work done on the truck by a ford shop
this may help What to look for when buying a USED 99-03 PSD |

Thanks guys. But still would you buy a used PSD with 150k+ miles on it? Or would you rather wait till you find one that has a little less miles on it?

if its in yur budget and its got a clean record go for it, of course its got 150k on it so there is gonna be replacements needed sensors and what not but 150 and clean record sounds like a winner

I wouldn't say there is a cutoff, but 150k is still great miles. I sold my 99 with about 147k for 15,200....so that's one benefit, much cheaper than newer lower mile trucks.

Personally I'd look for a 2000 F250 w/ 100k on it.

i learned some info from this thread... im also considering purchasing a used F250 4wd PS.
I think I want to stay with a 7.3 rather then a 6.0 myself. IF i were to find an 02 or 03 Lariat 7.3L 4wd with about 50-70k, what do you guys think I should expect to pay for it? |
