boost question?
my truck currently has a diablo chip (gonna get a tw soon). i recently ordered the itp overboost annihilator and i was wondering something. with the diablo chip my truck boosts upto 34 lbs when i get on it. with the itp ovr.ann. will it produce more boost? i dont think my turbo can safely take anymore.

All the overboost annihilator does is it stops the check engine light from coming on when the map sensor reads too much boost thats it.. It wont make your truck produce more it just stops the check engine light from coming on and stops the pcm from defueling your truck when it comes on.

Nolimit,
You are seeing 34 lbs of boost WITHOUT an overboost annihilator and your PCM isn't defueling???

Yeah. What I notice is that my truck doesnt smoke when I hit over 25 psi. Defuel I guess? But I don't get a code?

k here is the thing..... i see a bunch of people always saying how much boost you get?
ill lay down a lil info... the stock turbo is only efficient to only abut 28psi... anything over that and your doing more harm than good... your gonna see a big decrease in turbo life expectancy and the turbo is actually heating up the air more... so less boost with a more efficient burn is better.... i can easily see 35psi on my stock OEM turbo.. but at anything over 28psi and i feel no diff power wise -Raul |

Thanks Raul, I see what your saying and i dont disagree. i didnt do anything to boost more. i would rather boost like 25 to 29 psi. i just dont know why its boosting so much.

I have the boost fooler as well Im pretty sure, how do I adjust it to keep light from coming on. It wont come on in CO but back here in MD at lower elevation it will boost higher. I think I have a leak somewhere cause I can't even break 20 psi.
