I haven't but on my old truck(bronco) I was going to put a red-head steering gear in it simply because they are the best and I wanted to get rid of the slop in the box.. I dont see why you wouldnt be able to on our trucks
Red-Head Steering Gears, Seattle WA - Red-Head Steering Gears Home they are really good they might not show the one you need on there website but call them still. They are like the bts and jw of steering gear boxes. You can have custom things done to it like a quicker ratio or a different lock to lock ratio steering as well. Its all up to what you want. You dont really need to upgrade the pump since they really dont go bad but the gear boxes are as easy as a replacement as the pump. Its maybe 4 bolts with 2 lines on it and then the steering shaft and the pittman arm and then the box can come out and the pump is what maybe 4 bolts with 2 lines and then belt and pulley. Just one thing to remember dont forget to bleed the system before you start your truck when you do it. Go from lock to lock with the steering wheel and the wheels off the grow helps too and make sure you keep the power steering fluid container somewhat full.
