i have a 99 f 250 and the other day i was driving and it died out on me and i tried to start it again and the wts light didnt come on and it wouldnt fire so i wiggled wires under the hood and it fired back up after that and its done this about 4 times now... how can i fix this?

Not sure if wiggling the wires is what made it start again or not if it just dies like somebody turned the key off it is probably the CPS (Cam Position Sensor)

i had my cps go, did the same thing. ford did a recall on the cps took my truck to them and they fixed it for free
|

its already been changed though so could it be the wirring harness some people talk about them wires chaffing or melting plugs i donno how to change them or where they are

WHICH WIRES DID YOU WIGGLE? SOME TIMES THE ICP AND OR THE IPR SEALS DEGRADE FROM THE DIESEL RESIDUE AND LET THE WIRES FALL OUT. WAS THE WIRES NEAR THE FUEL FILTER. DID THE TACH MOVE WHEN CRANKING THE ENGINE?

tach did move and it was the ones by the valve covers that i wiggled

CHECK THE ICP AND IPR TERMINALS AND CONNECTORS TO MAKE SURE THE WIRE DIDNT COME OUT OR ARE LOOSE. CHECK THE MAIN HARNESS WERE IT COMES OVER THE LEFT VALVE COVER TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT RUBBING ON THE COVER.

I'd take it to the last place that did any work on it at all and say "it's been doing this since you were last here and ask what did THEY do ? "
