make 7.3 faster then 6.0?

Im postin this for a buddy whos lookin into gettin an 03 7.3 crew cab long bed..he wants it to be faster then my chipped 6.0..he wants to know what it takes to make it faster then a 6.0 pretty much.??..

Injectors and a turbo to keep up with a canned tune 6.0? Ive never driven a 6.0 thats why Im asking.

to keep up with yours hes gonna need injectors, turbo, intake, exhaust, custom tuned chip, and a trans to keep all that in check....

ok..thats what i told him..he swares just chip for chip a 7.3 can hang with my truck..
So what would it take to make a 03 7.3 reliable while making it faster then my truck with a custom tune

Tons of money. 03s have PMRs Powdered Metal Rods and arent know for reliability after 400 horsepower.

he will for sure need a built trans.... so he can already start saving for since a good one will be in the 4k+ range....

depending on what turbo setup, injectors he goes with will determine if hes gonna need a fuel system... but total hes prob looking at close to 10k in parts with the trans......

it adds up quick
