Winter blend MPG question ?????

was hoping to get a little feed back on what MPG's I'm getting right now....

I drive approx 40 miles per day, 20 to work and 20 home(about 5 stoplights between), plus go back and forth to town to run errands for my wife...normally 55 mph with the cruise on most of the time, never any "jack rabbit" starts, I ease up to a light and I ease into the throttle leaving the light

Assuming that my rig is running pretty close to "normal", meaning that everything is operating as it should.....I have gotten 15.8 and 15.5 mpg's on the last 2 tanks(calculated, not using overhead display)...does this seem about right????

I run straight diesel, no additives or anything.....

but I was thinking of trying either one of the well known additives or trying the 2-stroke oil....

thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated

Your doing good for winter blend. I usually lose about 2 miles per gallon on the blend because of the fuel and I let the truck warm up a couple minutes before I move it.

I'm not sure???? does all states use winter blend???? and if so, could there possibly be some differences state to state??????

The Atlanta Area did see about 1 week of 25 to 35 degree weather so for this year...but would Ga still need the same blend as say Illinois/indiana/ohio or along those lines...never gave it much thought....

LOL, I'd be happy with 15 MPG on summer fuel! I never get over 14, but it's all hills and small roads around here. Rare that I can get the cruise set for more than a lil' bit. And I can't seem to keep my lead foot off the go pedal! I've been getting around 11.5 MPG the past few tanks...

I think you're doin' good... you probly got 3.73 gears, and it sounds like you drive easier than me... you might get a few more MPG out of it with an econo tune if you chip'd it...
