WHAT!!!!!
I thought you worked on a Powerstroke before????

No they all don't have them, my 2001 doesn't either. I think all CA trucks have them, but I could be wrong.

This is the wrong answer. Cali trucks do, and other states that had diesel emissions laws back then do. Otherwise 99-03 trucks did not have cats.

im gonna ask this one more time , if you dont know the correct answer please do not post , NO they dont all have cats , if you want to sell products and have people buy them , giving out incorrect info isnt the way to earn peoples trust

THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS SIMPLE , LAY UNDER NEATH RIGHT AROUND THE TRANS CROSSMEMBER , LOOK AT THE EXHAUST , YOU WILL SEE IT IF ITS THERE , IF ITS JUST A PIPE THEN YOU HAVE YOUR ANSWER

Scott is correct. Its not just a Cali thing.

Hawaiian...there is no shame in not answering a question. Taking 5 minutes to look for the answer on google can make you look like a hero. Scotts been doing it for years lol! j/k

You know, I often wondered if it had to do with dealer trades that floated those "Cat Included" trucks to other regions.

I haven't seen one yet that has a cat, whether it came with it or not.
there are several states that have different emission laws (Cali, Mass, Virginia, etc) and that mandates what emission equipment the vehicles sold in those states are equipped from the factory with
