4x4 Light Stays On?

So I have my 4x4 Light is staying on in my truck right now. It has done it in the past but I got it to go out by pulling the shifter in and out of 4Hi a few times. But it didnt come out this time.

Two questions....One...if my hubs are unlocked and I am in 2Hi with my floor shifter, is the light simply a light at that point or is something else engaged still?
I was under the usumption that with locking hubs and a floor shift there is no other BS...
