Ok im getting ready to do this mod tired of the de fueling. just baught all the stuff.
Questions: I do not have a boost gauge shoulod this worry me? Do i need to be careful? Will it make a difference if i unhook my waste gate line? If I do should i plug it??
alright got it done it made a huge difference doesnt seem to be dehueling but the SES still comes on. all most sooner than before????? It also shifts REALLY HARD going into 2nd when you get on it. dont know about the rest of the gears didnt get a chance to stay in it long enough. Someone please help.
Also the regulator didn;t say a flow direction does that matter????
It's boost pressure, it comes from the intake to the map sensor, so your flow will be away from the motor (right to left as you look from the grill)
If you remove the wastegate line it's a good idea to plug it, otherwise you are just allowing a controled boost leak. The best option if you are going to remove the red wastegate line and keep it removed is to T it into the green line that feeds back into the intake. That way the red wastegate line will never pop off if the computer tries to open the wastegate while the line is plugged.
Alright i watched the video again and never did see the end till now what is he talking about a blow off valve??? How does that work???? Damnit sound like i wasted my time and money:doh::dunno:
To answer your question on flow..the gauge side would be the side that needs to go towards the map sensor. This would be your regulated side.I bought mine from lowes..and havent had any issues .If you have any questions pm me..
