i hear that it makes your exhaust less restrictive and will give a slight power increase. the reason im doin it is because of the added turbo noise

i made mine an exhaust brake and love it!

you should see a decrease in the exhaust temp, and it will be louder. I saw about 50-75 deg reduction in exhaust temp

Is there a good way to turn it into a brake...ive tried and i don't think its coming on. I tried another way other than just putting it on 12v switched power and it didn't seem to come on...although there is no reason it shouldn't have. i don't know if it takes a little bit of time to come on or if it just isn't working. i know the valve works cause it came on and it pissed me off so i pulled the truck over and disconnected it on the spot.

On standards wire the solenoid to 12v and a toggle switch theirs your exhaust brake, automatics you need a kit because if your towing and you throw the switch on it can destroy your tranny because of the torque converter/lock-up
