Best oil for the winter?

About 1000 miles ago I changed my oil and put in The rotella 15w/40. Now where I live it is going down to around 35 at night and I have been noticing the truck is getting harder to start. I am getting worried about my oil choice because I spend a lot of time in vermont in the winter in temps around and below 0 and I dont want to worry about not being able to start the truck. What oil do you guys recommend for teh winter months?

Rotella 15-40 has been working for you, and for me so Rotella Syn would be my first choice. Mobil Syn for diesel is supposed to be good, but really if its for winter startup, and not for extended oil changes, the cheapest diesel syn of those listed above would get my vote.

I would recommend that you switch to rotella 10W30, you can still get in the gallon jugs.. The local wal-mart has it in stock all year around.. Ford actually shipped the 7.3 psd in the superdutys with 10w30 in them from the factory... Hope it helps... I have ran the oil in the winter in all my psds for years...
