Angry Ford trans documentation

Good day everyone, I'm hoping for some assist please. As some know, my rig was in a hard hit. Trans cooler destroyed. I'm looking for official Ford or other documentation for what process and procedures are required in this type condition. I've read that we should not reuse or use a used trans oil cooler to prevent particulate damage. I need this info to assist getting a new trans from insurance. Turns out shop that had truck left lines open for about 2 months. To include pressure washing before replacement of unit. No records of hose replacement or trans being flushed. But shop did send truck to another shop for trans slippage. That shop just added 3qts, and said it's good. Now I will have to fight some do to internal particulate contamination and mechanical failure.

Your great assistance in locating official documentation is greatly appreciated. Like mandatory flush and or line replacement, etc.

please e-mail scans, or tell me what manuals or books I need to copy.

Thanks, Dean

Well, found an older instruction sheet that may apply. Have not located a newer version if it Is there a site or database for me to search for updates or other applicable documents?

This one was
JANUARY 31, 2000 Article 00-3-8 Part of the Fluid In-Line filter kit

Short form
ISSUE:
Solid particle contaminants from prior transmission concerns or excess wear may be trapped in the transmission fluid cooling system if not properly flushed. Debris remaining in the fluid cooling system contaminates repaired/replaced transmissions causing premature or repeat failures.

ACTION:
After every overhaul or transmission exchange, clean, flush and backflush the transmission fluid cooling system, which includes: fluid cooler, auxiliary cooler, cooler lines, and Cooler Bypass Valve (CBV), if equipped. Perform the cooler flow test to ensure proper transmission fluid flow volume on the transmission return line through the cooling system. Once proper fluid flow volume is verified install the Transmission Fluid In-Line Filter Kit (XC3Z-7B155-AA) in the fluid cooler return line (transmission fluid flow coming out of the fluid cooler going into the transmission). Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

OR Have an idea here......, anyone have the 99-03 7.3L current Fluid In-Line Filter kit instructions sheet they can send me? I'm guessing the instructions should state about the same.

Lastly, where is the bypass valve located at? I need to find and see if it was even replaced or needed replacing?

So disgusted……..

Hi all, update: The trans is toast! Just got back from the trans shop. Dirt, clutch material, metal, etc., and maybe a bit of water. Lost final drive today, then reverse, then reverse back on, and final drive back on. WWWeee.....

Ordered up a kit from Blackstone for the Oil analysis?
