I don't have any of those stores in New England. We are deprived! My wife's from Illinois, & I can only find these stores when we go to visit her family out there, or when I travel anywhere in the midwest or south. The only thing we have is local parts stores(i.e.- AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts, NAPA, etc.) & then the Ford dealerships. Wal-Mart is the only 'non parts store' venue we have as far as getting oil. Some of the gas stations sell it, but that kind of oil practically comes in a white jug that just has the word 'oil' printed on it. It's slim pickens around here & it seems unless you have a Caterpillar, Detroit, or Cummims diesels under your hood & pull a 53' trailer, it's gonna be an adventure finding cheap oil!

I'm sorry about the bad luck with stores man, I always pictured RI as a smaller version of Nebraska with some open areas and little dariy communities here and there lol, I was way wrong!

Don't be sorry. Weatherwise, RI is much like NE. We get close to the same winters & summers. When it comes to convenience though, forget it. Most of our stores just never seem to 'have everything' like stores I've seen elsewhere in the country. I've noticed in mid-western & southern states Wal-Marts are 'Super' & are 24hr. when the 3 we have in RI all close @ 9pm(10pm X-Mas hours[oooh boy!]). The word 'convenience' just doesn't exsist here, everything's expensive for no apparent reason, & what's available to everyone anywhere else just isn't here!

Don't worry about the convenience of 24 hour Wal-Marts, you should see some of the people that are out and about in a Wal-Mart at midnight it would maybe better if they did close early lol
Especially in a college town

Tell me about it!!! I went to a 24hr. Wal-Mart in OK @ about 1:30am looking for a stocking cap. I thought I had seen it all until I had gone that one night, but man there are some mutants out there! I have to disagree on closing early, though. This way the nut house knows where their escapees are in the wee hours of the morning!
