I Wanna See Pics Of a Dual-Alternator Set

I've worked for many a-company that used PSDs for work & service trucks. One of the 1st companies I was with had many 7.3 IDIs that were basically used as tool trucks for iron workers. When the company finally got seroious about mechanics going out to fix broken machines( & boy, did it take a while!), the big boss finally purchased a '00 F-550 with a Maintainer body. I was finally introduced to a PSD. After, an '01 F-450 maint. body came, & then another '03 F-450. The basics of what I know about PSDs came from this company. One thing I've always remembered were all of these trucks having a single alternator. All of the other companies I've worked for that used PSDs, whether they were pick-ups, dually pick-ups, maint. body, service body, tow trucks, anything, ALL had single alts. Then, I join PowerStroke.org, & I've learned tonso stuff; including factory dual-alts exsist. Can anyone show me pics of what they look like?

I can show you a pic of it on a 2003 F550 with a 6.0L ..

Ill bring my camera to work tomorrow and get a pic of the set up on our flatbed.. on a side note our 99 F550 does not have dual alternator set up.. we ordered it on the 03 though as we run a lot of extra lighting..

I would do it today but its my day off..and if I go anywhere near that place Ill end up on the road towing cause its always busy Saturdays

If you look at the rhino engines website ,it shows a pic of a dual set-up on the front of a complete engine.

I have the dual alt's, but there's no way I'd get a pic that would do ya any good... the bottom alt is buried on the lower pass side of the motor... hard to see, and even harder to remove and reinstall, I just changed it earlier this week. The top one is in the stock, normal location, upper driver side...

I hear ya, man! My boss lives @ work, Mon-Sun & if I went to work today, he'd have me paint something(as our shop is a working museum & EVERYTHING needs paint!). Yeah, if you can get those pics, I'd like to see them.

My cousin's husband is a firefighter. I'll have to see if he'd let me have a look under the hood of their ambulance. Thanks, Hank!

One of the techs @ a Ford truck place I've spoken to said the same thing. Looks like getting a pic might be out of the question, huh? When I looked @ the belt drive on my truck, I always thought that blank area under the alt. was the spot they would've mounted the secondary alt. Are dual alt. set ups aftermarket by another company Ford deals with?
