Single Stack vs. Dual Stacks

I wasn't able to find a thread that satisfied me so I am starting this new one.

i have a stock exhaust. I love the look of stacks. I am really starting to like the look of a single stack out the back (simply because it is not common site and I like to be different).

I do have horses so I am guessing that I will need a box or something to enclose the bottom of the pipe so I furn anything (such as dried hay).

How much louder is a single stack vs. dual stacks vs. rear exit. I do like the sound of the turbo but I do want to be able to talk without having to shout in my own truck.

Any help is appreciated.

Pictures are even better.

stacks

I have dual 6" miters

I love the sound, its loud but I don't think its too bad. I also just ordered an exhaust cut out system from Raul so I can basically flip a switch and turn the stacks off and the exhaust will just dump out the bottom to the side.

I have dual 6" mitres on mine too and you can hear the exhaust a lot more and its louder and deeper than a rear exit, a single stack if you have it centered in the bed will sound louder

yeah the soot on the side of the bed happens a lot. lol

It's pretty loud. I have duals and love them. Everybody always tells me they can tell I'm in my truck when I'm talkin to them on the phone. I can't tell you how many times I've heard over the phone, "Dude your truck is loud". I also have the cutout thing I got from raul through another member but haven't installed it yet. The part that I don't like is the soot I get on everything I tow when it rains. I had a white camper and it was a nightmare to clean all of that soot off. When I install the cutout I won't have that problem anymore.

I like my single.

It's louder than stock for sure, but not too loud. I talk on the phone all the time in my truck. It's do-able. Is that even a word?

On a side note.....the single stack is about as different as a tribal arm band tattoo these days.......

I did duals, and made my own bed kit because the ones for sale are expensive but I will be making a box just like CloverLeaf- If ur not sure weather u want a single or duals, u could always pull out the stack and put a cap on it below the bed. Here is a couple of pics of mine.
