Pumping the pedal or giving it throttle isn't going to help it start faster, it is electronic not carburetted.

subconsiously it does, when the engine is starting, I dont think the pedal does anything. I think the pedal doesnt get authority until the truck has fired.

Good writeup though, I am about to do DIY stage 2Cs here in the next few weeks.
