Lift kit question

I have a superlift 8" lift and want to take 2 or 3 inches out of it. There are 2 bilstein remote reservoir shocks in every corner. Is it possible to take some lift out and keep the shocks or will the shocks bottom out and need to be replaced?

Thanks.

Cool Lift

I've never gone down with a lift. You would have to collapse the shock and measure it to figure out where it would be standing then assess what the max travel might be. 2" isn't much but I wouldn't swear by it. When I lifted mine more I rotated the shock mounts. I'm not shure if you could pull them down any. Your gong to have to measure carefully to make that decision

how much travel do you have i your suspension? bilstein makes some long travel 5150 shock's. not sure if these are the same kind you have or not. you can get them in 14" of travel. if longer shocks dont work you may be able to move your shock mounts to make up for the gap... not sure what your workinf with though.

The shocks are as follows:
Front:
10" Travel
275/78 Valving
25.82" Extended Length
15.79" Collapsed Length
Rear:
14" Travel
275/78 Valving
34.80" Extended Length
20.75" Collapsed Length

They are nickel bilstein 7100 series remote reservoir shocks.

After doing more reading and talking to people, I am pretty confident that I can take 2" out and still keep the shocks. I am actually thinking about selling the entire kit and going to a full traction coilover setup. What would an 8" Superlifts kit with 4 each of the above shocks be worth?
