New power stroke owner

Hey guys. I'm new to the power stroke world. I just picked up a 2000 7.3. Any thing I need to look out for? Also what are some good chips to put in it. What gauges should I run? The truck is totally stock looking for some tips on how to make it run better. All ears. Let me know what you think and any ideas you may have

First off I would change all the fluids and filter's, then open up the air intake (NOT K&N) and exhaust system. Install a EGT, Transmission and Boost gauges Diesel Manor has a great kit and installation instructions, then get the PHP Hydra chip will wake up the 7.3L. Also get a spare CPS and throw that in the glove book alone with a 10mm socket and small pry bar, screw driver something too help pry out the CPS which is located on the front passenger side of the engine right by the balancer/pulley.

Airiad Intake 4" Flo-Pro Exhaust
ISSPRO EGT/Transmission
PHP Hydra

Definitely agree. Start with the fluids and filters. I just rolled 200k and am in the process of changing the diff fluids, coolant, oil, trans, transfer case. You will be surprised to find that some of these fluids probably have never been changed.
