intake "manifolds"

how many different intakes do they make for the 7.3?
I purchased a different set of heads for my truck to make the swap quicker.
turns out that the intakes are different.
the casting numbers on the heads are the same.
are these installed using only RTV? no gasket?

this is the tube that's on the drivers side and goes from the front of the block to the oil filter housing unit. whats the proper name for this?
it was leaking when I first started messing with this truck.
does the entire thing get replaced? because the inner O-rings don't look like they are easy to install, mabe these ones are just hard and brittle?

here is the lower block cleaned up, inspected and ready to get put back together

There are two different head styles... from 94.5 to 96 they used one type, call it an OBS style. It used 8 bolts and had 2" intakes...

From 96 to 2003 they used a different style which had 10 bolts per intake... From 96-99 they used 2" intakes as well. 99.5 to 2003 they went to 3" intakes.

Yes you can replace the O rings on the oil cooler assembly. Riffraff has them for a great price, I'd link you but the mods would ban me again...
