Hutch and Harpoon with Strictly Diesel kit

OK - I've read a bunch about doing these, but the pain in the neck factor kept me away.

Did both today in about 3 hours from start to finish.

First, the umbrella was broken off - so lucky I never ran out of fuel with 1/4 tank left... Second, those stupid mixer bowl filters were clogged solid.

The truck is quieter, revs faster at idle and has so much better throttle response! It is truly a night and day difference.

Then I went to fill the tank and put 25.8 gallons in. Keep in mind, the tank had 6-8 gallons left in it when I dropped it.

Everyone else has probably already done this mod - but if you haven't, I would. Probably going to talk my inlaws into it. Even if I have to do the work...

I did use the Strictly Diesel kit and was very happy. I'm usually a go to the parts store and put it together myself guy, but they do make it easy. But convenience has a price, in this case, I think the trade for my time was well worth it. YMMV.
